Cepheide formed in Paris in the fall of 2013 as an atmospheric black metal project, eager to create abrasive but passionate and emotional music. Participating in projects from different musical backgrounds, Gaetan Juif (alias Joseph Apsarah) aims to mix his various influences and shape the result into a sound his own.

Les Échappées is about the emotional responses from the body in its multiple impulses, either offensive or defensive, directed towards the “other” or oneself.
