Limbes follow up Les Voûtes (then as Blurr Thrower) with a breathlessly exhilarating epic, darker and more ferocious than that record, while Mütterlein (the insanely talented Marion also of Overmars) answers with creeping dread and rich atmosphere. Limbes charge in to the void, while Mütterlain displays the beauty found there, however bleak and unsettling it may be.

We don’t want a free collaboration
We aim to marry two distinct universes that are opposed at first, and end up answering each other, to venom. When LIMBES, just like BLURR THROWER, actively seeks light and appeasement in the darkness and ether, MÜTTERLEIN embraces it, takes refuge in the distance. We are the opposition between a pilgrim and a witch, between the high-pitched sharpness and the vibrating bass, between the scythe and the incense burner. We want to exhibit two studies of freedom, that are struggling but paradoxically tell the same story.

We don’t believe in accessibility
We believe in the power of two long pieces, that go from darkness to aether, that are by turns dusty and burned to the bone, sprawling and overwhelming. We rise compressions and reverbs to excess, until it’s too much. We built this disc according to our utmost, and the careful listener will sense all the emotions that assaulted us, that we managed to tame and cage, that we carry like scars and that survive in the back of our skull, like an old trauma.
